Time Warner Cable Named a Top Company for People of Color for the Second Consecutive Time

For the second consecutive time, Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) was named a 2015 Top Company for People of Color by the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), an organization that educates, advocates and empowers for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry. The results are from the 2015 NAMIC/WICT Cable Telecommunications Industry Workforce Diversity Survey.

“Time Warner Cable is proud to receive this award and support NAMIC’s mission to provide education and development, advocacy, and a voice for diversity in our industry,” said Jerrell Moore, TWC’s Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. “TWC’s drive to create a diverse workplace that reflects all of our customers, and their diverse needs, is illustrated by our investment in NAMIC’s signature Executive Leadership Development Program and Leadership Seminars. This, in addition to TWC’s burgeoning 11 Employee Networks, with 47 chapters across our organization, exemplify the company’s commitment to foster inclusiveness and attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.”

“NAMIC is pleased to recognize the achievements of Time Warner Cable, a company and valued partner that shares our commitment to diversity and building an inclusive industry workforce that is reflective of the consumer base it serves,” said James C. Jones, NAMIC’s Vice President of Education Programs and Diversity Solutions.

NAMIC named TWC to its “Top Company” list based on several categories, including the hiring and promotion of people of color to its management and workforce, retention data, policies and programs that establish Diversity and Inclusion as a core value at the company. The survey was conducted by Mercer, an independent research partner and global human capital consultants.

TWC is a longstanding partner of NAMIC. As part of this partnership, TWC employees have participated in events, conferences, mentorship and leadership development programs.

TWC has received numerous awards for diversity and inclusion and was recently named a Best Place to Work for LGBT employees by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation with a perfect 100 percent score for the fourth year in a row. In addition, the company actively supports more than 11 Employee Networks that provide professional development and leverage the diversity of people and experiences. Employee Networks available to TWC employees include Asian Pacific Islander Collective, Black Business Employee Network, !Hola TWC!, Out@TWC, TWC Able and VetNet.
