AUSTIN, Texas — A patient in Austin is being tested for coronavirus, according to Austin Public Health.
Dr. Mark Escott, Medical Director for Austin Public Health, says the patient is sick and has a travel history “consistent” with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for testing.
APH has requested the CDC test the samples taken from the patient.
They hope to have results within 24 to 48 hours.
