Black Business Journal announced the names of its 2019 TOP Ten Diversity Champion honorees. These trailblazers will be celebrated at a reception in their honor Saturday, November 23, 2019, 6p.m. at J.W. Marriott, 110 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701
Presented annually, the TOP 10 Diversity Champions recognizes ten executive level professionals who are leading the charge for diversity and inclusion in Central Texas.
Forbes named Austin the fastest growing city in the US due to low unemployment rates, population growth, state income tax, and the business regulatory environment. “We believe some of the growth is also due to the work of these ten executives who are walking the talk, showing that leaders who make diversity and inclusion a priority continue to succeed in the marketplace”, said Black Business Journal Publisher, Anita C Roberts. “Each of our Top Ten Diversity Champion honorees are tough businessmen and women who have a heart for doing what’s right and equitable. They exemplify an unyielding commitment to equity.”
Black Business Journal Top Ten Diversity Champions are community leaders and forward-thinking executives. They help to lead some of Austin’s top organizations. Each of the honorees have worked hard to push the envelope in equity and in doing so, paved the way for others to follow.
“There is no us or them, “said honoree Beth Krueger, “there is only WE in a thriving community. The greatest benefit is that all dreams are possible.”
