ATX Black Food Week 2019 Kicks Off Next Week

Black Business Journal 6 years ago

ATX Black Food Wood

Black Food Week aims to provide the Austin community with first hand knowledge about Austin’s new and longstanding Black-owned restaurants – that have become pillars in the Austin community.

Founded by Chas Moore at the Austin Justice Coalition this week-long celebration goes from Monday, July 22 thru August 3, 2019 and shines a light on Austin’s classic, black owned restaurants.

Black Food Week aims to provide the Austin community with first hand knowledge about Austin’s long standing Black-owned restaurants that are pillars in the Austin community. The hope is that the community not only finds these restaurants enjoyable dining experiences, but also an educational tool that prompts support for locally owned minority businesses.

Whether you decide to patronize the listed restaurants at any point during their hours of business or plan on joining during the “Eat and Greet” social hours, the hope is for you join us for a week that is sure to satisfy both your taste buds and your soul.

We look forward to dining with you, Austin!
